Well, went to my weekly beating as I like to call it. My husband calls it PT. LOL After that we went to my good friend Teresa's business and visited for a couple of hours. Today was Cody's first homeschooling day all though we spent most of the morning out!
After Teresa's, we went next door to The Last Shop CD Shop. Spent $75 on books for the Squid worth about $200. Got all kinds of cool books. Dragons, Wizards, Pirates, Earth, Animals are just a few of the subjects bought. The coolest thing is that that Squid had input on all the books and is excited about them! This was definitely a store that we could have done without ever going into! The crazy thing??? We only looked at one set of shelves! It is not hard to find cool stuff there!
This afternoon with the hubby off at college, the Squid and I stayed home. He read about dragons and has started working on some of the puzzles in the book. I finished my first assignment for my CS 105 class.
Started entering our new books into a program on my Droid. Now that we are going to be buying more books that are in a series, I figured I should keep track to avoid duplicates.
Well, time for some sleep.
The goings on in the wild and crazy life that I call MINE! This is more an online diary for now. That may change. With 6 people in this house, things are never dull! We are now down to 4 people and 2 cats at the moment. This is always subject to change!

What I have I gotten myself into??
Well, my life is bit hectic and crazy. Let me tell you why! My house consists of 6 people - myself, my husband, his mom, eldest son (17), daughter (13), and youngest son (10). Right now my husband is going back to college for the first time in too many years to count. I too am going back to school online to become a Certified Health Coach. I am also taking a few college classes to work towards finishing my degree. So that equals out to about a double load. We won't talk about how many years it has been since I was in college either. I am so looking forward to filling out 3, that's right 3, FAFSAs in January. (insert sarcasm here!) So next year at this time, my husband, my self, and our eldest will all be in college.
Right now I am also dealing with a double knee injury from December 26, 2008. Yep, you read that right, 2008! I am in physical therapy following my third knee surgery. That whole issue is a blog unto itself. So I also go to PT 2-3 times a week.
Just to make this time of year a tab busier, my brother is getting married on Sept. 10. and both the hubby and I are standing up for him. The brides maid dress issue has been interesting! I am not entirely sure what it will look like until Wed and the wedding is on Fri. This has got to be one of the most interesting weddings I have ever been apart of! I will blog all about it and post some pics later as well.
Than to top it all off - the elementary school were my youngest goes is not addressing his learning needs. The poor kid had some less than quality teachers in the beginning and now the holes in his education are starting to really show. SOOOOOO, after much discussion and prayer, my husband and I have made up our minds to homeschool him. Believe me when I say that this was not something we just jumped into. We are just tired of fighting to get him the extra help he needs and having to reteach many of his classes after he gets home. I might as well do it myself the first time! Tomorrow we will start the paperwork to get our homeschooling plan official. The Squid (as we call him) is very excited about this! The change in him as been amazing and we just brought it up to him three days ago. All of a sudden, he is asking questions and wanting to know about all kinds of things. This is a complete 180 from him. He is excited that he gets to learn about things that interest him and have plenty of time to do it.
It is more that a bit scary trying to figure out how I am going to get my schooling and his done as well. As all of my classes are online, I am going to have him listen to the lectures with me and do age appropriate work based on what we just learned. By explaining it to him, I will learn it better as well.
Well, that is enough for now! Stayed tuned for the ongoing saga at the "Anderson Academy SD."
